Larnaka 2030

Larnaka 2030 was established in October 2022 by the Municipality of Larnaka to prepare, coordinate, and deliver the city’s European Capital of Culture 2030 programme. As the official implementing body, Larnaka 2030 is responsible for designing and delivering the artistic programme while ensuring a lasting cultural, social, and economic legacy for the city and the wider region.

Its mission is to advance a long-term, sustainable cultural development vision for Larnaka, aligned with the cultural strategy and artistic programme outlined in the second Bid Book. The European Capital of Culture title is used as a catalyst for structural transformation at local, national, and European levels.

These goals are pursued through the implementation of an ambitious Artistic Programme, including capacity-building initiatives, large-scale cultural events, seminars and conferences, new artistic productions, international collaborations, audience development initiatives, and community engagement activities.
