About the partner
D6:EU is a visual arts organisation based in Cyprus. We bring together artists, communities and partners to explore and reveal the complex, surprising and interconnected nature of our lives, creating new opportunities for artistic practice and cultural collaboration across Cyprus, Europe and the Middle East. We work with both international and local partners to develop artist residencies, exhibitions and capacity‑building programmes that respond to urgent social and environmental challenges.
Our current programme includes MATCH: Mediterranean as the Climate Hotspot, a Creative Europe-funded initiative, working with artists and community gardens in Nicosia, Izmir, Athens, Marseille and Barcelona. Another key project, Contested Desires: Constructive Dialogues, fosters exchange between artists and the museums, archives and communities that shape and hold Europe’s colonial legacies. With partners across Europe, Africa and South America, 22 artists are participating in residencies and exhibitions that reveal untold stories of identity, appropriation, power and memory. D6:EU’s work also focuses on inclusion and supporting artists whose practice has been disrupted by forced migration.
Founded in 2021, we do not operate from a permanent space; instead, we collaborate with local partners and communities to present exhibitions, performances and talks across the island.
