About the partner

The Congress of Cultural Activists is a Kyiv-based non-profit organisation bringing together cultural professionals, curators, and community practitioners committed to fostering social change through culture. CoCA works at the intersection of cultural development, civic engagement, and international collaboration, with a strong focus on supporting resilient cultural ecosystems in Ukraine and across the Eastern Partnership region.

The organisation has extensive experience in designing and implementing interdisciplinary cultural projects, including residencies, educational programmes, and transnational collaborations. Its work emphasises mobility, knowledge exchange, and the role of culture as a driver of social transformation, particularly in contexts shaped by conflict, displacement, and societal transition.

CoCA has been actively involved in major international initiatives such as One Europe One Caucasus, OASis, and Lost in Transition, contributing as a partner and coordinator in projects funded by the European Union and other international donors . Through these initiatives, the organisation has built strong networks across Europe and neighbouring regions, supporting artists, cultural practitioners, and local communities.
