ASSEMBLE: IN CONVERSATION

How do we build cultural ecologies in response to oppression, erasure and displacement? ASSEMBLE: In Conversation is a public event exploring the role of artists, curators, cultural organisations and communities in creating infrastructures of care and solidarity in times of crisis. The discussion introduces ASSEMBLE’s year-long fellowship programme and brings together international voices working across cultural mobility, displacement, climate emergency and creative practice. Join us in Larnaka and become part of the conversation.

Cyprus, Capital of Culture, and Why ASSEMBLE Is at the Heart of It

25 Mar 2026

Larnaca — a city shaped by its own history of displacement — was named European Capital of Culture for 2030. Its winning theme, "Common Ground", is built around shared humanity, care, and the lived experience of being forced from home. ASSEMBLE's lead partner, D6:EU, is formally connected to the Larnaka 2030 programme — and that is no coincidence. This is the story of why ASSEMBLE exists, and what it is building towards.
